1. Who we are
These terms govern your use of Alternative Investor, an information platform at myaialternativeinvestor.info operated by Trance Limited, an overseas entity registered with Companies House under the Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022 (registration OE025742) and with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO C1894395). References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Trance Limited. By using the platform you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. What this platform is — and is not
Alternative Investor presents curated information about alternative investment opportunities to investors who have confirmed that they are eligible to view it. We carry out our own due diligence, assisted by AI, before an opportunity is featured.
We are an information platform only. We are not a financial adviser. We do not provide investment advice or personal recommendations, we do not arrange, deal in, manage or advise on investments, and we do not take, hold or handle any investor money. Nothing on the platform is an offer, inducement or invitation to invest, and nothing here is a substitute for your own professional advice.
Trance Limited is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Information is made available on the basis that you have certified yourself as a high net worth, sophisticated, or professional/institutional investor.
3. Eligibility
To use the platform you must be 18 or over, be accessing it on your own behalf, and have truthfully confirmed that you qualify as a certified high net worth investor, a self-certified sophisticated investor, or a professional/institutional investor. You are responsible for ensuring that you genuinely meet the category you select. We may withdraw access where we believe a user does not qualify.
4. You make your own decisions
Any decision to invest is yours alone. Before committing to any opportunity you should take your own independent financial, tax and legal advice and carry out your own due diligence. We do not assess the suitability or appropriateness of any opportunity for your circumstances.
5. Our due diligence
We feature opportunities only after applying our own due-diligence process, supported by AI tools. That process is carried out in good faith but relies in part on information provided by third parties. We do not warrant that any information is accurate, complete or up to date, and our due diligence is not a guarantee of outcome, quality or return. You must not treat the presence of an opportunity on the platform as advice, an endorsement, or a recommendation to invest.
6. We do not handle your money
We never receive, hold or transmit investor funds. If you choose to pursue an opportunity, you deal directly with that opportunity’s own investment team and any investment is made with them, under their own terms and documentation. We are not a party to, and have no responsibility for, any arrangement between you and a featured provider.
7. Investment risk
Alternative investments are high-risk. They are typically illiquid, your capital is at risk and you could lose all the money you invest. You are unlikely to be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or to have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Past performance is not a guide to future returns.
8. Information you give us
You retain all rights in the information you submit (for example your contact details and the interest you register). You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to operate the platform and to contact you about opportunities you have asked to hear about. We do not use your information to train AI models and we do not sell your data.
9. Acceptable use
Your use of the platform is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Breaching it may result in immediate suspension.
10. Intellectual property
The platform, including its software, design, branding and content, is owned by the operator and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, scrape or republish it without our written permission.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment loss, or for any loss arising from a decision you take (or do not take) in reliance on information on the platform, nor for the acts, omissions, performance or solvency of any featured provider. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount (if any) you have paid us. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Featured opportunities are independent
Featured providers and opportunities are independent third parties. Featuring an opportunity is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee, and we receive no authority to act on your behalf or theirs.
13. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
